Fitness oriented vacations
How does this sound? I recently did a tour with Trek Travel where I actually got to ride with the Tour De France for
the first week of the tour. I love to cycle and to be at cycling's premier event on the last year that Lance was riding was amazing. But it gets
even better:
The tour started in Rotterdam so I had to fly into Amsterdam. One of the big destinations on my bucket list. Amsterdam is fantastic for so many reasons.
I stayed in Amsterdam for two days then headed to Rotterdam to join the tour.
The tour was fantastic, the rides were challenging, the food was incredible, the hotels were magnificent and the interaction with the Tour De France
was unbeatable. I would do it again in a heart beat and I just may repaeat this year.
I'm a big soccer fan (I was born in the U.K.) and after the tour I headed over to Munich to watch the end of the world cup. Again sort of sports
related (even though I spent most of the time in Hofbräuhaus) and I needed the down time after 5 solid days of riding.
A great trip and a very entertaining form of fitness.
