Himmarshee village

Just over the tracks from Las Olas blvd in Ft Lauderdale we find Himmarshee Village. This area is a favorite among young people and on Friday night it is a very popular gathering spot for all the downtown office workers. Tarpon bend draws a good crowd as does the Irish pub and of course the girls at Coyote Ugly attract a large group. The bars and restaurants all offer outdoor and indoor seating and on the warm South Florida nights you'll find tons of young people talking and drinking in the outdoor areas of all the venues. As the night wears on the bands get louder and louder and the party is on. Voodoo Lounge is the big club in the area and they've been getting right for years. Something for every taste in the this area.

There are some very nice choices for food in Himmarshee Village. The restaurants tend to offer a more casual dining experience and the most popular would seem be Tarpon bend, judging by the crowds spilling out into the street on a Friday night.

Himmarshee Village Nightclubs

Really only one venue in the category and that's the Voodoo Lounge. This nightclub has been a long time favorite in the Downtown Fort Lauderdale area and the only real nightclub in Himmarshee Village.
